harmonize sweetly with the best of the duos and trios.

Sonic Images
Where
to find BABYLON 5 soundtracks and other
electronic music from Christopher Franke and other like-minded,
eclectic musicians. Christopher Franke started Sonic Images but
it's grown into a showcase label for New Age, electronica and
soundtrack releases.
Some of the more recent releases I've received
from their promotions department
that I recommend:
The soundtrack for the BABYLON
5 TV movie THE RIVER OF
SOULS -- Franke does his usual bang-up job of setting
tension and mood in a B5 soundtrack.
The soundtrack for the Showtime cable channel
movie MR. MUSIC. This
movie featured Mick Fleetwood as a record company owner who hires
a supposedly hapless teenager for an A&R man. The teen taps
into the pop music vein and creates hits with the groups that he
signs. Good, driving alternative blues rock soundtrack with appearances
by Graham Nash, Pat Benatar, Reel Big Fish and some up-and-coming
alternative bands.
A compilation of individual tracks from movies
and TV shows make up the contents of THE
SNOW FILES. From a X-FILES suite to a tune from
the TV movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Snow shows his
diversity in varied compositions for the
big and small screen. |
Loreena McKennitt
A Celtic songstress of a wonderful sort. Her
ageless vocals interweave and overlay the blended traditions of
Gaelic and Middle Eastern compositions using traditional and modern
instruments.
